Here are the four senior partners of TotalAXIS.
Edgar Mejia
Partner, VP Business Development
Edgar developed a unique marketing firm that creatively combines online social media with entertainment content, B2B models, networking events, and email and viral campaigns with grassroots promotions to connect clients with niche audiences. He oversees the creative process, development and tactical direction of the company, and is responsible for forging synergistic relationships between our clients, community organizations and the company’s Fortune-1000 clientele.
Edgar has been named finalist to the prestigious entrepreneur of the year award by Hispanic Business magazine and INC. magazine, and serves as Small Business Commissioner for Majority Floor Leader and Speaker of the California Assembly, Karen Bass. He holds a Bachelor’s in Communications, a Presidential Key Executive MBA from the Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine University, and completed UCLA’s Executive Management Development extension program at the Anderson School of Business.
Antonio Sosa
Partner, VP Marketing
Tony has been a leader in the field of entertainment and media with 15 years of executive-level experience in the area of multi-platform brand and audience marketing. Tony is in charge of client content distribution, interactive operations and product development, and targeted multicultural marketing expertise.
Prior to joining TotalAXIS, Tony served as VP of Multicultural Sales and Film Acquisitions for Warner Home Video, where he was responsible for managing all targeted retail sales planning and film acquisition efforts directed at the emerging and online markets, and Director Brand Marketing for Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, where he managed all specialty film acquisitions for the Fox unit.
Tony is a member of the New York City Latin Entertainment and Media Commission (Economic Development Committee), and a frequent panelist and speaker on issues of content and entertainment.
Marcie Perez
Partner, VP Public Relations
Marcie is a leader in results-oriented public relations, marketing, communications and branding in the multicultural and consumer arenas. Drawing in her years of experience, she brings to the table an array of skills, including strategic counsel in general and multicultural markets, media relations, crisis management, event management, luxury lifestyle marketing, and national spokesperson expertise.
Marcie previously served as the Director of Public Relations for Tu Ciudad Magazine where she was responsible for building and developing the magazine’s brand image, overseeing and servicing national accounts including T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, Splenda, Tecate, Heineken, Coors, Mercedes, Sprint PCS and Polaroid, to name a few.
She serves on the national Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Diversity Committee, co-chairs PRSA-LA’s Multicultural Task Force Committee, co-founded and co-chairs OC-PRSA’s Diversity Committee, and is a member of the International Leadership Association. She has a Master’s from the University of La Verne in leadership and management, and a Bachelor’s from California State University, Fullerton, in Communications with an emphasis in PR.
Benjamin N. Torres
Founding Partner, CEO
Benjamin began his impressive career in 1989, and founded TotalAXIS in 2001. In its first 15 months of operation, TotalAXIS grew to over 160,000 active members and has become a reckoning force in the entertainment-marketing sector. Benjamin combines his ingenuity and expertise in marketing and public relations with his adept knowledge of producing film, television and high-profile events to serve clients and their diverse marketing needs, and deliver top results.
On the philanthropic front, Torres has created fundraising initiatives resulting in over $120 million dollars raised for not for profit organizations including the Magic Johnson Foundation’s “Breast Cancer Initiative”, Feed The Children and Last Chance for Africa.
